Theofratus Aurelius

Theofratus Aurelius was a proclaimed legendary alchemist in Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis and is the only known alchemist to have created life in the form of an artificial mana.

Story

He was the alchemist responsible for creating Vayne and was considered a legendary genius by many of his colleges. Not much was known about him or how he was able to create life, but he was the one to attempt to cure Jess's illness as a child and ended up shortening her lifespan.

It is said he began going mad when he realized how little he could actually do for humanity and how insignificant he really was. When he was a traveling doctor, he found Sulpher as a kitten and cared for him until his dying day. It was when he finished creating Vayne that he made one wish for himself, that wish he made was to die. And it was said by Isolde and Sulpher that the two of them were lovers before his death.

Trivia

• He hasn't actually had an visual appearance in the game, but we can assume he looks like Vayne from Isolde's words and the fact people thought that he was his father.
• His last name may have been based off the famed alchemist Theophrastus Aureolus, whose last name is another spelling and pronunciation of Aurelius and was the original last name in the Japanese release.
