The Fireproof Plate is a synthesized item in Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.

Hagel will request that Meruru make him one of these for his forge during Weapon Shop II. Creating the fireproof plate and delivering it to Hagel will increase his forge abilities, allowing him to make more versatile and powerful equipment for Meruru and her party. 

They are also required in order to make the Spring Pump.
