Linca in Atelier Shallie is the seventh born Linca, rather than the eight born Linca who is playable in Atelier Escha & Logy and Atelier Ayesha. (Spoiler) She escaped the underground with her sisters, but she was separated from them and raised by Gerard Perriend, whom she starts working for as an adult.

There could be nine Linca in Dusk, since one of them (spoiler) was found by Shallotte and Shallistera inside the underground tubes.

The playable Linca is the eight, The Linca in Atelier Shallie is the seventh, The other Linca to appear to in Atelier Escha & Logy is the third, and the other Linca to appear in Atelier Ayesha is called Sham Linca or 偽リンカ as an enemy.

In the video, they believe that the Linca they found is one of the other Linca, since Escha has told them about the Linca. They theorize that Linca was born in this place, and that she is an artificial lifeform because of the books they found earlier in the area. That she is an artificial life form is more or less etablished as a fact later in the game, even if it was an assumption made by Shallistera.

Just as a fun fact, the Linca in the tube has a red gem attached to her chest. Perhaps it is a reference to the Ruby Prism and Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana.
