Export/Import

I'm not sure if don't know how to use it or you just don't want to but you can easily copy multiple article using Export and Import page. You will just need to change the template name.--Haru3173 (talk) 03:17, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. I tried to also import my navigational template, but it seems that I can't because this wiki doesn't seem to have a "NavBox" template.

Nixerix (talk) 03:24, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

You can import everything except images, I imported the "NavBox" template from your wiki so it should work now.--Haru3173 (talk) 03:28, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
In case you need it. You can also upload multiple pictures using Multiple Upload and you can put a category on them by adding it in the file description summary box. You type in [[Category:insert name here]] to the summary box to add the specific category in the image--Haru3173 (talk) 03:54, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice, the Multiple Upload function has been useful. I've imported all of (or most of) my navigational templates. I hope that it's okay with you, but I decided to change the character boxes to my own from the other wiki. I also created navigation boxes for Marie, Elie, Lilie, Judie and Viorate, so every game should have a character navigation box. Rather then import the nav boxes and create a new template for them (which I was doing), I thought it faster to just rewrite a pre existing template to save on work and on templates. If this isn't okay with you, we can always revert the templates back to the existing one.

The navigational templates is good, it use a Navbar so that's better. Do you mind if I change the color to the one this site been using? Also, what's your plan when using tables for skills, items, ect. since it doesn't looks good, bare like that.--Haru3173 (talk) 13:04, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
I only changed the colors of Totori, Meruru and Rorona. Every other template is either new, or unchanged. If you feel the colors for those games were better than feel free. I wasn't planning on doing anything with the tables (color wise), as I have the opposite opinion and didn't feel that the colored tables looked good. I've just exported that information on those tables from my Wiki for now to transfer the information over, but I'm sure we can discuss fixing them up later if you feel it looks too plain. Maybe it would be easier to develop a template for weapons/armors instead of just listing them in a table, seeing as how I don't know how useful tables will be on the wiki over all. Couldn't we make something similar to the consumable/material templates?
Nixerix (talk) 13:21, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
I don't mind if the table is uncolored, it's the style that's bugging me, it's too bulky. I've been using wikitable, I've change rorona so can see. Is that look good for you?--Haru3173 (talk) 13:49, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see a problem with that, it looks fine. But now that I've brought it up, would you like to have a template/page for each individual piece of equipment like we do for each consumable item, or would you rather keep them as one large list?
Nixerix (talk) 13:52, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
I think It's good to have an overview of the items in a table instead of looking at one at a time. Right now, I still don't know how each page for items will work, should we have separate page for each items for each games, like bomb (rorona), bomb (totori) or have one page for bomb. How will the template work, I was actually thinking of having a separate template for each item on a single page but that might look messy--Haru3173 (talk) 13:58, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
I think one page for all the items is okay, just explain the differences in each game, seeing as we didn't do that for characters (such as totori (totori), totori (meruru). I just figured that since you created a page for each invidivual item you might want one for armor/weapons. I went ahead and made a template and tested it out to see if it works though, just in case we ever change our mind. I've seen wikis do it both ways, but it might become inconstant later, but that's just something to think about.
Nixerix (talk) 14:04, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah but how do you explain the differences in each game in the template, can we use tabber for that. Oh yeah having a separate page for weapons and armor is good for me but let's still keep the table since I think it's good to an overview of the weapons--Haru3173 (talk) 14:12, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
I'm sure that we can figure something out, or design the template in a way that it is friendly to include the differences. It might take a bit of playing around with, that's for sure. There's no rush though, you at least have a good start on the items for some games.

Page about Homunculus?

I was thinking about making a page about the homunculi of Atelier Ayesha, however homunculus can also refer to the character(s) Homunculus, and the term is also used in several games. I noticed that if an item has the same name in several games, it shares page. So I was thinking something like...a short explanation of what the term homunculus means, and then what different homunculi there have been in different series/games. I'm sorry, I'm not very good at explaining. Or there could be different pages called for example Homunculus(Atelier Ayesha), Homunculus(Arland Series), Homunculus (character) and so on.

Ettsuperbranamn (talk) 23:02, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

Some wikis do have a page for the same characters from different games, but from what I've seen, characters have been bunched together into one page. However, we could use a disambigation page. What you could do is make a page called Homunculus, which would link to Hom, and another to Homunculi (which could be the page for Atelier Ayesha). The actual disambiguation page could have the explanation of what Homonculi are, with the pages linked being the information for that actual page. Make sense? I'm apparently not that good at explaining either!

Edit: I've made the disambiguation page as 'Homunculus', and I've changed it so that the page for Atelier Ayesha can be made under the name 'Homunculi'. I thought it was more suiting to refer as the Ayesha ones as a group, since you do visit the village and you can describe them/their village as a group. Does that sound okay?

Nixerix (talk) 06:24, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

I think that sounds good! Thank you very much!

Wiki Features

Do you want to enable some of the wiki features? Article Comments, Category Exhibition and Message Wall to be exact. I have no experiences in them but you seems to be. What do you think?--Haru3173 (talk) 08:14, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

I don't see why not. It's not like I'm all that expierenced in them, it's just that different wikis use different systems. We can always disable them later if a problem arises, if it's something that we'd like to try.

I would say enable Message Wall and Category Exhibition. I think that the talk pages look neater than the Article Comments, imo.

Nixerix (talk) 08:24, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Great, I'm gonna enable Message Wall and Category Exhibition, both of them looks good to me. Article Comments do look kinda messy now that you mention it. I've never use them so just wanted to know if there's any reason not to enable them--Haru3173 (talk) 08:51, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
