Ranun Etts
Ranun Etts is a character appearing in Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk.
Ranun is a wandering musician who Ayesha runs into during her travels. He is a lover of nature and music.
He is often found lying on the ground and looking up at the sky, to get more in touch with nature, although he finds it rude when nobody notices him lying there. Most other times, he's playing his musical instrument, which resemble bagpipes. He seems to have no place to call a home, and is often going where the wind is carrying him (which labels him as a drifter).
Ranun hates the idea of working, and avoids it whenever possible. After Ranun meets Ernie, he can be found helping Ernie with his work. Although he says that he can't stand the hard labor, Ranun does enjoy the paycheques and eating well.
He becomes very depressed when he feels uninspired to create music.
Role
Ranun helps Ayesha find one of the glowing flowers for her quest. He tells Ayesha that the solar eclipse will appear on the 11th day of the 11th month (of the current year). The sun shy flower will only appear then, and for a few short minutes. The flower is found on the cliffs of Hornheim on the date that Ranun estimates.
The player can also buy and sell items from Ranun at his location at the world map or field maps. It is not possible to register items at Ranun's shop.
