I noticed that according to the current page Lilie is an orphan raised by the Kenntnis academy, but the official website rather states that she comes from a poor family, was self-taught alchemy and then accepted to the academy for her talent. However, the original games rely a lot of external materials for characterisations, such as manuals and fan books. (One good example is Kreis, his jealousy towards Marie isn't as obvious in the actual games but external materials tend to bring that up as a major part of his character and actions) This leads me to believe that both could actually be true, even if they seem contradicting. However, I'd like to know if anyone knows the source of this information. RibbonRondo (talk) 09:57, June 20, 2020 (UTC)
- Looking back at the edit history, at one point we stated that she was very poor (no specificity of a family/or orphan) and that she couldn't study alchemy because of it. It was also stated that she was self-taught because of this. However, an edit was later made to say that she was an orphan. The edits from that user fixed a lot of other facts that we were incorrect on, so I think the assumption was that they had also updated with a more correct version of Lilie's origins. However, I'm not entirely sure myself. I used to look to PuniCove for a lot of information, but the site has since closed down. I may have tried to add a reference to them, realizing that they had already shut down. Most sites I've seen to translate information has information about the game, not so much the origin of all the characters.
- If you look at this (poorly translated) link to the Japanese wikia page[1] , it doesn't really specify where she came from either. Only that she was accepted into the academy and that was very poor. --Nixerix (talk) 20:56, June 21, 2020 (UTC)

The Wikipedia page does mention that her father was the one to name her Lilie, which I haven't seen before. One possibility is that the character profiles on the official website were early drafts and that the final game ended up different, which seems to have happen now and then. It could also be that she was born into a poor family and then her parents passed away or something, but that it's only mentioned in a certain event or so. I haven't played Atelier Lilie enough yet to know unfortunately. RibbonRondo (talk) 23:49, June 21, 2020 (UTC)
Speaking of that, I was thinking of going through all the Lilie characters and updating with info from the official profiles on the website where info is missing. For many Atelier Elie characters I ended up using the in-game profiles, but in Lilie's case there is more info on the website and it'd make for an easier source for others to fact-check.
