Item Box

I wonder if there's a better way for us to organize this. For items that appear in a lot of games, putting all that information in the item box may be a bit much. Maybe we should try and reorganize them into the article and then just either leaving the field in the item box blank or put 'see article'. I know I'm primarily the one who works on these item pages, but other people's feedback is appreciated, especially since everybody can look at these page at any time. Nixerix (talk) 06:25, March 8, 2015 (UTC)

What if in each section, we write down the info for the Elixir that appears in the game kinda like how we write down the character's skills?

This is just an example of the Elixir in Meruru, but what do think? SpaceDetectiveTravis (talk) 12:03, March 11, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah. We could try it. I'm just thinking mostly for these items that appear in more than 5+ games. Like the elixir, craft, bomb etc. Probably want to make the tables in bullet format though to save on some space such as this: I don't think it would look too bad really. Nixerix (talk) 13:38, March 11, 2015 (UTC)

I admit, it does look more organized, but of course there are some things on there we need to change, like in Shallie, the time limit's gone now and the Dusk series got rid of the MP usage to make items. Plus, they now use equipment slots now, so the one for the Dusk series should something like this.

Level Item Use Equip. Cost Ingredients Effect Property Book
37 1 3

Time & Life

Now this is what I think how the Escha & Logy/ Shallie item info should look. The [Earth:10-20], [Earth:90-100] stuff is basically where on the gauge the effect will appear on so players won't have to spend time guessing or going through trial & error. I'm sure you might be able to organize this better, but what do you think?

I'll admit that while I have Escha/Logy I havent played yet, and Shallie is on pre order. Theres a few options. For the effect (because its so complicated), we could have it with its own table on the page with the other inforamtion in the template. Secondly, I could add any additional fields to the template for any new mechanics (such as properties). As long as a field is empty, it doesn't get added to the page so if it's not using the MP or time anymore, we just simply wouldn't fill them out. The last option is to have a page for the Elixir (Arland Series), Elixir (Dusk Series), etc. We can maybe do some testing or play around with it somewhere else to look at our options? I'm really not sure waht is best, to be honest. Im a little stumped. Nixerix (talk) 22:36, March 11, 2015 (UTC)
I think the second idea might work, like put the basic info first and in the case of the dusk series, put the property and effect below it, but that's your decision and I'm just brainstorming here. Shallie has the same items that Escha/Logy has (minus their unique items), but I've played that so I can cover whatever you may have missed invoving the game. Also I think I'd be best to keep everything in one page. The only thing that seems to change is it ingredients, Effects, and so forth in each  game. I think we just need to change the templates to match the game it's in to show every bit of info we have on it.SpaceDetectiveTravis (talk) 02:55, March 12, 2015 (UTC)
