Relationship to the Malen family

The few times Lucia directly references Honnete she uses the phrase "Auntie"

The promotional materials aren't very clear about this as the biggest part of the reveal comes in the middle of the game, but Lucia and her father (who conveniently is away whenever something is going on) are related to the Malen family. 

Roger's brother alerted him to the fact Lucia has run away.

 Roger's brother was picked to run Atelier Borthayre even after he became a licensed alchemist so he started his own shop with Honnete's encouragement. It puts Lucia's commenting about being the girl's big sister in more context as well.
